About

Daniel Otu is an African artist, versatile in a suite of entertainment foci – from modeling & photography to acting & music, animation, video and photographic editing.
While his road to entrepreneurship is anything but customary, it appears to be that his way was one he was bound for.
From his youth living in Africa- Ghana,  Daniel followed a budding creative ambition to pursue the entertainment arts, beginning as a self-trained songwriter and studio musician.
He quickly experienced push-back from the traditional career expectations of his society, but through this hardship developed a greater consciousness of a creative mind and outward thinking. “If I can find a way, we all can find a way,” he tells of this overcoming, “I like going further, not staying behind.”  In 2013, He began to pursue fashion and modeling. During his time at college, He networked with groomers and collaborated with models, often in addition to the rigor of his coursework.   From here Daniel refined his hardworking ethic and was scouted by Philus Model Agency as a model in 2016, quickly rising to the top of the organization through his modern interpretation of the African perception of modeling and managerial attitude.  Following travels through African countries, Daniel found his next step in greater independence was to move to the United States and pursue his art in this foreign environment.  Hired as an organizer at The Ark, a premier underground art space in Syracuse, NY, and continues to provide an experimental international lens to his photography and modeling work.
